IMPORTANT FOR F-1 STUDENTS:
Students on F-1 visas must keep the program dates on their I-20 form current in order to maintain student status in the United States.
You are responsible for understanding your I-20 form.
Pay attention to the "Program Start/End Date" on your I-20 under "Program of Study." These dates must be current at all times!
If you would like to stay at CELAC or the University of New Mexico later than your program end date, you must extend your I-20 BEFORE the end date.
To extend your I-20 form, you must complete the CELAC Request Form either online or in person at the GEO front desk.
Please select the "I-20 Extension" box and check which semesters you would like to extend your I-20 for (fall, spring, summer, academic year, or full year).
If you have any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit a CELAC immigration advisor during advising hours from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Monday through Friday.
