Trips and Events
CELAC tuition includes one cultural trip per semester.
Cultural trips are a great opportunity for students to learn about American culture and practice English outside of the classroom.
CELAC cultural trips vary each semester and are subject to change without notice.
Examples of past trips include:
Visiting the New Mexico capital city of Santa Fe
Touring a Native American pueblos
Hiking at national monuments
Attending local festivals such as the International Balloon Fiesta
CELAC Initiatives are extra-curricular clubs that students may participate in as they wish.
These initiatives are organized by CELAC instructors to give interested students more opportunities to practice English, learn about American culture, and meet other students.
Information about how to sign up to participate in these initiatives will be shared with students after they begin classes.
Initiative topics vary each term depending on CELAC instructors and student interest.
Examples of CELAC Initiatives include:
U.S. History Club
We encourage our students to explore all New Mexico and the United States have to offer while they are attending CELAC!
Local events and activities are recommended throughout the program term for students to explore the local community. These events are optional and may involve outside fees.
CELAC shares these activities through email announcements, classroom flyers, instructor announcements, and social media to give students greater access to the community.
Please note that these extra activities are not organized by CELAC and are not included in CELAC tuition.
