Pathway Program
No TOEFL Required
Students who successfully complete full-time studies in CELAC’s Academic Bridge with a 2.5 GPA or better and good academic standing are admissible to full-time UNM undergraduate study without an additional English proficiency exam (e.g. TOEFL, IELTS, Pearson, Cambridge). UNM graduate departments may also accept this Pathway.
Benefits of CELAC Pathway Program
- UNM faculty receive students who are well-rounded in academic language skills and have completed a rigorous intensive English program at UNM.
- CELAC students have completed studies in Academic Reading, Academic Writing, Conversation, and Grammar.
- CELAC students matriculating to UNM typically maintain GPA’s of 3.5 and above.
- CELAC students have on-campus living experience and are familiar with campus support systems such as Learn (LMS) and CAPS.
